I Was Wrong About Lego Fortnite

In this video I discuss why I was wrong about Lego Fortnite, a game I thought could be Epic Games Minecraft, a game people play for years but instead has already been abandoned by more than 95% of the people that tried it.

I'm Tyler Jenkins, a dedicated Fortnite gamer. I started playing when it launched in 2017 and have logged hundreds of hours unlocking skins and items. My favorite mode is Squads where my friends and I build fortress bases and ambush enemies. I run and own FantasyRealmz.com, a Fortnite fansite. Though I enjoy activities like working out and coding, at the end of the day you can find me battling for Victory Royales in Fortnite with my squadmates. Let's game!

  1. I think they meant it to be for kids, more fun building stuff and not any storyline or progressing, and a "safe space".

  2. There has to be stuff in the works. Building sets idk, more. There has to be more. Yeah, it's just a base, but it's a good base. They need a lot more building pieces, more Lego versions of skins, more npcs, and weapons and bosses to fight. Yeah, a story would be nice. I don't disagree with you. I just don't want it to be dead. There's so much potential there.

  3. i don’t think you guys realize each mode lego,br, stw, and racing all have their own teams working on said mode so it’s not dead just have patience and stop judging a game that’s still in beta

  4. I agree with a lot of what you're saying here. I started watching you a few years ago for the grounded content. I think more people are still playing Lego fn than grounded tbh. I also believe that Lego fn will have more support and content updates long term than grounded ever will. Part of the problem is likely that certain content updates may need to be approved by Lego as this is a collab obviously.

As far as the decline in players for battle royale, they're at or above the player count they were at prior to the limited release of "Fortnite OG"(when they released the original chapter 1 map from 2017 for the one month of November in 2023) So you can't really go by that decline. Take the month of November and part of December out of the equation and the player base has not declined as rapidly as it appears. 2017/2018 was peak Fortnite. November/December 2023 broke that player record, but only for a short time. It was merely a short spike.

  5. People expecting too much too quickly that’s all I can say. I’ve been playing since launch and I still haven’t explored all of the map. So many interesting spots to build stuff at and explore. But yeah if u are just in to the survival aspect of the game you will be done with the game in a week if you play like 1-2 hours everyday. But I do believe they have thought this through and planned it for the long run instead of dropping everything all at once. They will keep adding stuff like they do in BR continue to expand. I mean it’s not even out for 3 months. Give it a little time. As someone who likes to build stuff tho I’ve been having a blast building stuff at new interesting spots.
